My Mom’s Motorcycle

Douglas Gautraud is a filmmaker. This film is, in his own words: “about how my mom became the owner of a motorcycle, but more deeply it is about how people use objects to connect with times, ideas, and people.” There’s a lot of people out there critiquing our lives. Gautraud doesn’t do this. This film provides the opportunity for us to make our own conclusions about our lives, by giving us the lives of his grandfathers as a lens to look through. This short-film is great. Check out more of Gautraud’s work at
